Stone Town in the morning, then a boat to Changuu, better known as Prison Island. It was built as a prison, used as a quarantine station, and is now home to a colony of Aldabra giant tortoises.

Some of the tortoises are over 100 years old. You can feed them and they genuinely do not care about your schedule. The island also has a quiet beach and good snorkelling just offshore.

The boat ride back to Stone Town at golden hour is the photo you will keep.
